Residential House Designed by Wen-Ching Wu

Life is an evolution attitude and style expression of humanity. The style and space fuse by design and reinterpret the texture and atmosphere of living. It emphasizes the perception of space poetic and aesthetic integrate. Through open space design, artistic context assimilate into humanistic dimension and aesthetic concept. It’s simple and functional. It resonates with the life memory of dwellers.

The residential house designed by Wen-Ching Wu is a unique and artistic expression of lifestyle. With a focus on humanistic values and emotional significance, the open living room and dining room create a sense of connection between two families and the third generation. The use of different liners and contrast colors of furniture allows for the expression of real emotions and values.

What sets this design apart is its fusion of style and space, which reinterprets the texture and atmosphere of living. The design emphasizes the integration of poetic and aesthetic elements into the perception of space. Through open space design, the artistic context assimilates into a humanistic dimension and aesthetic concept. The result is a simple and functional space that resonates with the life memory of the dwellers.

The design features the use of Italy travertine as the main wall, extending to the tactile impression of hand-scraping floor. The gray tone of oak wood infuses a profound real wood texture, while the mixture of dark, shallow, and neutral colors accompanied by silver metal creates a low-profile and elegant expression of space and lifestyle.

The design team, led by Wen-Ching Wu, has worked closely with the dwellers on multiple occasions, allowing them to understand their taste and personality. The complex art collections have been made the focal point of the design, harmonizing with the overall low-profile and elegant aesthetic.

The public areas of the house occupy most of the 410 sqm space, while the private areas are planned with comfort and rest in mind. The proportional planning between areas respects the real demands of the dwellers, ensuring functionality and maximizing the use of space.

The design team has innovated by making the artwork perform as a group in the planning. The colors, strokes, artistic conception, connotation, extension, and enlargement of the paintings perfectly match the penetration, hierarchy, extension, persistence, contrast, proportion, and external relationship of space and design. The atmosphere, lighting, and temperature further enhance the dwellers' experience of the elegant content of life and abundant vitality.

The residential house was completed in 2015 in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The design concept is related to the characteristics and living habits of the dwellers, resonating with the natural tranquil eastern culture and creating a visually captivating extension.

This design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2017 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. The award recognizes outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness. The design showcases strong technical and creative skills and contributes to quality of life improvements.
